Day 65

In the final stretch!! I started a yogalaties challenge at the beginning of March. So a combination of yoga and pirates. Some of them have been core killers! And some more typical yoga flows! Today was a solid combination of the two.

I finished with a Thruster and bike workout to hit my 45 minutes!

Then a nice warm walk through the wet melting snow! Most of it will be gone in the next day or so, especially if it continues to be so sunny!

Day 64

The storm was about as bad as expected! We ended up with about 8 inches of wet heavy snow! And a snow day off from school due to the ice and timing of the storm!

By the afternoon it was sunny, though still very windy! And a great afternoon to walk or sled! The wind made a lot of cool designs in the snow! I realized about half way through my walk that I should’ve counted some of my shoveling towards my 2nd workout! And that I could’ve used snow shoes to make the walk a little different!

With the snow day I also finished my next book. Adrift, is the story about a sailor whose boat sank in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. He was able to make into his his life boat and floated for 76 days until finally being saved.

The book chronicles his journey and the many peaks and valleys throughout. Including multiple equipment failures, catching fish, and getting fresh water.

The book was part of Go Ruck’s Tribe n Training group. But really anyone doing 75 Hard should read it! The connection of the number of days is real. A few times I thought about parallels to his experience and mine. Though ultimately 75 Hard is much easier!

Day 63

Another morning workout outside! The weather in the afternoon wasn’t going to be great so I wanted to get it done. It was around 33f in the morning. It warmed up some before it rained and then snowed!

I rode my trainer in the basement doing some short sprints! And then snuggled up for the evening wondering if the storm would be as bad as expected!

Day 62

It was going to be another busy Monday evening so I decided to workout in the garage/driveway again for my outdoor workout. And use my trainer in the evening.

This morning’s workout was the weekly Vault and I opted for the sandbag version instead of double dumbbell snatches! I had to modify the burpees and box jumps, but it was still a good workout!

The Bike trainer was boring, but I used the time to also get my reading for the day done! A little double duty time for the win!

I snapped this pic on my way to work!

Day 61

I was struggling to figure out my plan for the days workouts when I realized that it had been back below freezing and skiing could be a good option. So I went and had my longest ski of the year using my skate skis at Wirth.  The trails were relatively empty as most of the big races are done for the season. But the snow felt fast and it wasn’t super cold so it was a nice day to be out skiing!
