Race Results from Thanksgiving and beyond!

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and are getting back into the routine of your life! Welcome to the hustle and bustle of the holiday season!

Four Mile Foot Fest was won by Nick Polk, 23 of Indianapolis, in 19:59 (5:00) almost 3 minutes ahead of second place.  Nicole Gliem, 22 of Beech Grove, won the female division in 23:44 (5:56) about 10 seconds ahead of second place and 5th overall. 172 finished this event.

Drumstick Dash was won by Jeff Powers, 23 of Bloomington, in 21:40 (4:49) about 15 seconds ahead of second place.   Maddie  McKeever, 20 of Littleton, CO, won the female division in 25:12 (5:36) about 10 seconds ahead of second place and 23rd overall. 2,524 finished the 4.5 mile course (they don’t count the 2.6 mile course finishers).

Christmas in the Park (Brazil) was won by Zach Whitkanack in 17:05 (5:29) about 40 seconds ahead of second place.  Janelle Ralph won the female division in 20:08 (6:28) about a minute ahead of second place and 6th overall. 45 finished this event!

Race Results from Nov 17 and an Upcoming Race!

Race on November 24th

Christmas in the Park (Brazil) begins at 10am at Forest Park in Brazil, IN.

Race Results from Nov 17

Turkey Chase 7K was won by Jeremiah Vaughan, 18, in 23:56 (5:30) about 5 minutes ahead of second place.  Pam Mertz won the female division in 28:57 about a minute ahead of second place and 33rd overall.  171 completed this 4.35 mile race.

DINO Series Race #7 15K was won by Zach Eichel of Indianapolis in 55:45 (5:58) about 30 seconds ahead of second place.  Tracy Cahee, of West Lafayette, won the female division in 1:05:31 (7:01) about 3 minutes ahead of second place (who accidentally started 2 minutes late) and placed 24th overall. 164 finished the 15K event.  5K was won by Lance Nelson, of Indianapolis in 16:48 (5:24) about a minute ahead of second place.  Logan Campbell of Greenwood won the female division in 22:13 (7:09) 3 and 4 seconds ahead of second and third places and 36th overall. 164 finished the 5K event.

Vincennes Family YMCA Trotting Turkeys 5K was won by Scott Mullins in 16:23 (5:16) about a minute ahead of second place. It looks like Emily Brown won the female division in 23:19 (7:30) about 20 seconds ahead of second place and 17th overall. 101 completed this event.

Yesterday’s Run

I did an easy 5 miles yesterday at Mounds State Park with Brian.  I was still tight from Saturday and the ball of my foot is still hurting.  We ran it in 40:46, but it felt harder than that pace warranted.

Race Results from November 10

Here are the results from this past weekend.  Let us know if you competed, how you did, and what you thought of the race in the comments section.

Forest Park Step N’ Stride 10K & 5K Bob Bragg, 42 of Noblesville, won the 10K in 35:15 (5:41) about 20 seconds ahead of second place.  Camille Herron, 25 of Lafayette, won the female division in 36:49 (5:56) almost 4 minutes ahead of second place and 5th overall.   188 finished the 10K. Jesse Davis, 25 of Indianapolis, won the 5K event in 15:18 (4:56) about 1:20 ahead of second place.  Laura Farley, 23 of Indianapolis, won the female division in 17:40 (5:42) about 3 minutes ahead of second place and 6th overall.  169 finished the 5K.  Lisa Jones won the 5K Walk in 33:18 (10:45) and Max Shellenbarger the men’s in 38:19 (12:22). 58 finished the walk.

Club Kokomo Road Runners 4 Mile Run/5K Walk was won by William Irvin in 24:36 (6:09) about 10 seconds ahead of second place.  Michelle Hollingsworth won the female division in 29:45 (7:26) about 30 seconds ahead of second place and 15th overall. 48 completed the 4 Mile run.  Jerry Lambert won the 3 Mile walk in 34:36 (11:32) with Amanda Pena winning the female division in 36:29 (12:09).  14 completed the 3 Mile walk.

Indiana Fall Classic 10K was won by Scott Mullins, 33, in 33:27 (5:22) about 30 seconds ahead of second place.  Janelle Ralph, 25, won the female division in 40:40 (6:32) about 3 minutes ahead of second place and 15th overall.  80 completed this 10K event.

Jordan’s Journey 5K Run, Walk & Roll was won by Andy Wilson in 15:35 (5:00) about 30 seconds ahead of second place.  Shannon Hendrix-Buxton won the female division in 18:20 (5:54) almost 3 minutes ahead of second place and 10th overall.  123 completed the 5K event.

Yesterday’s Run

I did an easy lap around the wet leaf covered trail at Shadyside Park in Anderson. The trail was fairly empty with temperatures around 52 with some strong winds.  I picked it up for the final 1/4 mile and completed the 2.64 lap in 18:42.  I finished the workout with a couple of accelerations.  I have some slight pain in the ball of my left foot.

Race Results from November 3

Here are the results from races over the weekend.  Let us know if you raced, how you did, and what you thought about the event.

Jump the Gun 4 Miler was won by Scott Overall, 24 of Bloomington in 18:37 (4:39) about 14 seconds ahead of second place.  The female winner was Nicole Gliem, 22 of Beech Grove, in 22:11 (5:32) about 15 seconds ahead of second place and 16th overall. 301 finished this event.

Outback Scramble was won by Micah Aldrich, 18 of Indianapolis, in 29:18 (6:58) about 1:30 ahead of second place.  Tracy Cahee of West Lafayette won the female division in 37:49 (9:00) about 3 minutes ahead of second place and 20th overall.  This 4.2 Wacky XC course must have been pretty tough.  Alexander Elston brought 39lbs of food to donate! 258 completed this event.

Health & Kinesology 5K was won by Dave Nordhielm in 18:03 (5:48) about 16 seconds ahead of second place. The female winner was Andrea Blocher in 18:23 (5:55) about 1:30 ahead of second place and 3rd overall. 126 finished this event.

Run the Mounds 5 Miler was won by Mark Courtad in 28:28 (5:41) about 20 seconds ahead of second place.  Rachel Young won the female division in 34:56 (6:59) about 1 minute ahead of second place and 29th overall. 274 finished the run.  The 5K walk was won by Rick Spencer in 32:29 (10:27) about 6 seconds ahead of second place.  The female winner was Mary Miller in 34:28 (11:05) about 5 minutes ahead of second place and third overall.  59 completed the walk.

Spirit Run 5K was won by Troy Davis, 29 of Greenfield, in 16:01 (5:09) about 45 seconds ahead of second place.  Deborah Glick, 37 of Westfield, won the female division in 19:43 (6:20) about 30 seconds ahead of second place and 12th overall.  221 finished this event.

North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Parkway

Friday’s Run Like Hell 3 Miler was won by Brian Shepherd of Ligoneier in 15:15 (5:05) about 30 seconds ahead of second place. Erin Nehus of Indianapolis won the female division in 16:16 (5:25) about 7 seconds ahead of second place and 7th overall. 138 participated in this event. Pictures on this page are from the photos taken during the race.

The Pleasant Run Run 5 Mile run was won by Ted Turner of Indianapolis in 24:47 (4:57) almost 4 minutes ahead of second place. Camille Herron of Lafayette won the female division in 29:36 (5:55) about 1 minute ahead of second place and 4th overall. 282 finished the 5 mile run. The 5 Mile Walk was won by Max Walker of Greenwood in 44:55 (8:59). Gail Brandenburg of Carmel won the female division in 56:16 (11:15) in 5th place. 40 finished this event with 2 DQ’s.

The Inaugural Greenways of Greenwood 5K was won by Aaron Harding in 15:39 (5:02) about 15 seconds ahead of 2nd place. Chikage Castle won the female division in 20:34 only 3 seconds ahead of Amanda Holzhausen for a 12th place finish. 117 finished this event.
